I took this photo at Victoria park in the fall. I chose to put this photo into black and white because it gives the photo a new perspective. When it was in colour, it looked almost bland – but once I put it into black and white it almost turned into an “old photograph”. I feel like this is a photo that could give people many memories and something to relate to.

This is a unique, well composed photo. I feel nostalgic because it brings back memories back from when I was little, going to Victoria Park with my family to feed bread to the geese.
There is a nice counter balance as the bridge runs through the centre of the photo, having tree lines on either side of the water. I also like how you changed the colour filter to black and white; it gives an older vintage feel. I also like the ray of light coming across the water; it reminds me of a path.
The only criticism I have is that one spot of the bridge appears to be slightly out of focus, and in the left corner of the photograph there seems to be leaves or garbage spread across the ground which is distracting. Besides that, it was very well technically executed. Well done.
I appreciate your feedback. I decided to put this photo in black and white to give it that vintage feel, and I’m glad that you felt that while looking at this photo as well. I also agree with you about distractions in the photos; next time I’ll be sure to capture the photo in full focus as well as removing any distractions out of the photo. Thank you!
